BaseBrawl: Wild Fight Ensues After Wild Pitch

A wild and scary scene unfolded Wednesday night during a winter league Venezuelan baseball game. After a night filled with ejections and rising tensions between the two teams, Aguilas del Zulia and Caribes de Anzoategui, former MLB outfileder Alex Romero was at base when a wild pitch would prove to be the tipping point. Romero would turn and begin to strike catcher, Gabriel Lino,  with his bat causing instant chaos. With both benches quickly clearing and fists swinging, six players were ejected after three players were given the boot earlier in the night. It is being reported that Romero is expected to receive further consequences and a lengthy ban is in talks. After the dust settled, the game was completed and Caribes would go on to win 13-2.
